Chester Hill is a railway station on the Sydney Trains network, which serves the suburb of Chester Hill. The station has an island platform, built with the opening of the line. An overhead footbridge is connected to the platform by stairs. Thus the station does not qualify as having Easy Access for wheelchairs.
A third track known as the Southern Sydney Freight Line was opened in 2011 to carry freight trains separately from the passenger lines.
As of the new Sydney Trains timetables on Sunday the 20th of October 2013: on weekdays the station is served by two trains per hour in each direction for most of the day, with additional trains provided during peak hours; and on weekends the station is served by two trains per hour in each direction for most of the day.
